The Cook Islands consist of 15 islands scattered in the South Pacific Ocean, between French Polynesia and Fiji, its climate is tropical oceanic, its location, the Cook Island are exposed to severe tropical storms and even hurricanes occasionally between December and March.
Its economy is based primarily on Tourism, which has experienced tremendous growth since 1971, forcing the improvement of tourism infrastructure especially in Rarotonga and Aitutaki.
Rarotonga and Aitutaki Island are the islands that have the largest number of tourist arrivals especially from markets in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, USA and Canada. Considered as another source of income for the islands extraction black pearls especially Manihiki islands and Pernhyn.
Cook Islands is a remote place and a great natural beauty with idyllic beaches where you can make excursions through the jungle and swimming among coral, each island has its own charm.
Rarotonga is the largest island and therein lies the capital Avarua. The modern airport built in 1974 was one of the factors for rapid growth of tourism. It also have a good service of buses that travel throughout the island. In the town of Avarua there are more than forty hotels and resorts scattered throughout the island and attention to tourists are the best.

Aitutaki Lagoon, a place of great beauty with turquoise waters is considered one of the world’s most beautiful islands, the lagoon is famous for its coral reefs and small islands, visitors can enjoy diving and enjoy the abundant marine life in corals, here you can stay in hotels five stars or in comfortable cabins on the beach.
Muri Lagoon is one of the most beautiful places, beach and its lagoon is one of the favorite destinations for lovers of snorkeling and swimming is so magical landscape you will not want to leave it, for its shallowness is ideal for the whole family in this island there are rental services paddle boats and catamarans, can also take windsurfing lessons.
Punanga Nui, is a market created for the purpose of helping entrepreneurs and over the years has been improving. It is the place where you can meet part of the culture and customs of the islands, you will find various handicrafts you can buy as a souvenir of your travel of the Cook Islands.
